Vivek Patel serves as Senior Vice President of Product at Tinder, where he leads the Core Product team to drive innovation and enhance user experiences. Prior to joining Tinder, Vivek was the Chief Product Officer at Yelp, leading a 185-person organization across product management, product design, and data science. Under his leadership, Yelp's business grew from $20 million to more than $1 billion in revenue, demonstrating his ability to scale operations and drive substantial growth.
Before Yelp, Vivek was the Director of Product Management at SugarSync, where he defined the product roadmap for one of the first consumer cloud storage services, highlighting his foresight in working with emerging technologies. He also co-founded and led product management at several early-stage startups, consistently driving innovation and building zero-to-one consumer products.
In recognition of his impactful contributions, Vivek was honored by Gold House as an A100 2021 honoree, celebrating the most impactful Asians in their respective fields. He is passionate about using technology to connect people. Vivek holds an M.A. in Education focusing on Learning, Design, and Technology and a B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.
